How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
It depends on your board. CBSE uses percentage = CGPA × 9.5. VTU and AKTU use (CGPA × 10) − 7.5. Anna University uses (CGPA − 0.5) × 10. Always use your own institution's published formula — use the matching calculator above.
What is the CBSE CGPA to percentage formula?
CBSE's official formula is percentage = CGPA × 9.5. For example, a CGPA of 8.0 converts to 76%. The same ×9.5 multiplier applies to a single subject's grade point to get that subject's indicative percentage.
How is CGPA calculated from SGPA?
CGPA is the credit-weighted average of your semester SGPAs: CGPA = Σ(SGPA × semester credits) / Σ credits. A heavier-credit semester pulls the CGPA more than a lighter one. The SGPA-to-CGPA calculator does this for any number of semesters.
Is GPA the same as CGPA?
GPA usually refers to a single term's grade point average (often on a 4.0 scale), while CGPA is the cumulative average across all completed terms (often on a 10-point scale in India). The conversion scale and formula differ, so use the right tool.
