What is Rahu Kaal and how is it calculated?
Rahu Kaal is a roughly 90-minute window each day considered inauspicious for starting new work in Hindu tradition. It is one-eighth of the daytime (sunrise to sunset), and which eighth depends on the weekday — so it shifts daily with your location's sunrise and sunset times.
What is a Panchang?
A Panchang is the Hindu almanac built from five limbs (pancha-anga): tithi (lunar day), nakshatra (constellation), yoga, karana and vaara (weekday). Together they're used to determine festivals, fasting days and auspicious muhurat for important events.
What is Choghadiya?
Choghadiya divides the day and night into eight segments each, labelled auspicious (Amrit, Shubh, Labh, Char) or inauspicious (Rog, Kaal, Udveg). People consult it to pick a favourable time to start travel, business or a ceremony when a full Panchang isn't needed.
