How to read this
Rank prediction is approximate, derived from NTA's published 2024 marks-to-rank data. Your actual rank will depend on the difficulty of the 2026 paper, total candidates, and category-wise distribution. Use this as a budgeting tool โ your real rank will be the NTA-published one, usually 4โ6 weeks after the exam.

How It Works
NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test โ Undergraduate) is the single common entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, and B.Sc. Nursing programs nationwide. Roughly 22โ24 lakh candidates sit the exam each year, and a single All India Rank (AIR) is published per candidate.
Exam structure
NEET is a single 3-hour-20-minute paper out of 720 marks โ 180 multiple-choice questions, each worth +4 for a correct answer and โ1 for a wrong answer. The questions are split across Physics (45), Chemistry (45), and Biology (90 โ Botany 45 + Zoology 45). Theoretically, the minimum possible score is โ180 if every question is answered wrong.
How this predictor works
This calculator uses the NTA-published NEET-UG 2024 marks-to-rank table (the most recent full year of data available at build time) as anchor points and interpolates linearly between them. Enter your marks, pick your category, and the result panel shows your approximate AIR, category rank, percentile, qualifying status, and an indicative MBBS / BDS / AYUSH expectation tier.
Category rank โ why it matters
Reserved-category candidates (OBC-NCL / SC / ST / EWS / PwD) compete against a smaller sub-pool within their reservation bracket, so the same AIR can map to a much better category rank. The category rank shown is an approximation: AIR ร the share of that category in the candidate pool. Actual category rank depends on the precise distribution of candidates by category within the AIR ordering.
Qualifying cutoffs (NEET 2024 reference)
To be eligible for any MBBS / BDS / AYUSH admission, you must clear the qualifying cutoff: 164 marks for General / EWS (50th percentile), 129 marks for OBC-NCL / SC / ST (40th percentile), and 146 marks for PwD (45th percentile). Below the cutoff there is no AIR โ the candidate is marked as "not qualified" on the NTA result.
Frequently Asked Questions
A NEET rank predictor is an approximation, not a guarantee. It uses the marks-to-rank distribution from the most recent NTA-published rank list (NEET-UG 2024 at the time of writing) and interpolates linearly between published anchor points. Your actual rank will depend on the difficulty of the 2026 paper, the exact number of candidates, NTA's tie-breaking rules (older candidate ranks higher in a tie), and the category-wise distribution. The predicted rank typically lands within ยฑ5,000 of the final NTA-published rank for mid-range scores (450โ620 marks) and within ยฑ200 for top scores (โฅ680 marks). Treat the predicted AIR as a planning estimate for counselling preferences, not a final number.
